TOPIC: Hotspots: Usable only for one country?

Hi, before I buy it I want to ask you if there is any way to make it be used on the google maps for only one specific country. For example when a user wants to submit a bar for example on the map to be able to add only for example in Italy on the map as I want to make a website only for my country NOT to have users add places on other countries. So I can have a map thats shows only places in my country.

I am thinking this might be impossible since its using google maps which shows the whole world...

Anyway please let me know

Unfortunately hotspots cannot do that right now. This is actually possible with the google maps API and I'll eventually implement it one day, but right now there is more important stuff

Ok thats cool,
is it at least possible to have a standard view when user first comes, so for example he sees specific point in google maps like a country I choose from settings or?

You have 2 center possibilities. One is to set a geographic point and zoom level. And the second is to let the map automatically determine the best center. It will look at the hotspots coordinates and will try to show all of them. If you only have hotspots in Italy, then it will be zoomed on then. But if somebody enters a location in france, then the map will try to zoom on both france and italy.

Thats great Im definetly buying it. I have translated components for joomla in past for Greek language and this one can be too right? Would want to make site for Cyprus in English and Greek.

And one last thing, is it possible to add bus stops and add directions from one bus sto to another so user can see the directos when he/she chooses a bus stop?

Same situation, same question for me: I am about to purchase the add-on, but can you please inform whether it is now possible to restrict the map to one country only?

Also, can we import an excel file into the add-on? Or do we have to build the database and filters manually in Hotspots/Joomla?

What kind of restriction are we talking about? If you want to just per default to start centered on a particular country. that's possible. You can specify the center and zoom that shows the country. But the user can always move the map and go somewhere else.

If you are looking of a way for restricting the user to move the map out of that country, then this is not possible.
