Is admin access available for the matukio demo? I have too many questions and requirements to list them here.

Thanks,
Eric

Well, one question. Does matukio have it's own template system or does it adapt to the site's template?

Hey Eric,
Just go ahead an purchase it. Test it for few days and if you are not happy just let me know and I'll refund you.
Regards,
Daniel

Thanks. I've been using it a day and it looks promising for our specific needs. I'll be posting some questions in the appropriate forum.

Daniel,

Thank you for letting me test your fine extension, but it won't work for our needs. I would like a refund like you mentioned in this thread. The following are just my opinions and again thank you for the opportunity.

When a registered user cancels, we need the waitlist feature to notify the next person in line automatically via e-mail. I tested it by setting up an event with one spot. I registered one person and then registered two people (who were put on the waitlist.) When I canceled the first one, neither of the two waitlist people were added to the registered list.

The mini monthly calendar looks really bad when there are many events in a month. We often have 5-6 events a day and 40-60 events a month.

The Upcoming Events list looks pretty good. It's sad that the Eventlist menu item is a requirement because it doesn't look very good (doesn't have Book and location.) Also, the linked category in Upcoming Events list is linked to the Eventlist view (not good for us.)

I also don't like how Number and Status are displayed in the event description view. Why even include Number? It makes it look like 3 of 13 spots are available (3/13 for example.) For status, it would be nicer to see how many spots are registered for next to total spots originally made available.

Again, thank you.

Hi Eric,

thanks for your feedback - we are currently working hard on a new Matukio version, which brings many features and fixes most issues you posted.

The mini monthly calendar looks really bad when there are many events in a month. We often have 5-6 events a day and 40-60 events a month.

Yes, the old module is not looking very well with many events (It is deprecated and just a placeholder till the new Matukio 2.2 modules are ready), but there are some easy CSS Hacks to let it look better.

The Upcoming Events list looks pretty good. It's sad that the Eventlist menu item is a requirement because it doesn't look very good (doesn't have Book and location.) Also, the linked category in Upcoming Events list is linked to the Eventlist view (not good for us.)

You don't have to show the Joomla menu link - you could just create a new Menu (let's call it hidden) and create a Joomla Menu link to the Matukio eventlist there, then nobody is going to see it but it is still working - this is also very useful for many other things apart from Matukio ;)

Also, the linked category in Upcoming Events list is linked to the eventlist view (not good for us.)

Hmm this is easy to change - in a normal use-case Matukio is centered around the eventlist view. Btw. with Matukio 2.2 there is a completly new, tableless eventlist view coming. Take a look at our facebook page for some screenshots or download the Beta to see if this one fits your needs.

I also don't like how Number and Status are displayed in the event description view. Why even include Number? It makes it look like 3 of 13 spots are available (3/13 for example.) For status, it would be nicer to see how many spots are registered for next to total spots originally made available.

You don't have to use a number like 3/13, you can change it to whatever you like, this is thought as a unique event identifier.

Best regards,

Yves
