Does the pro version show hotspots on a route when doing a directions from and to?

Not necessarally. Hotspos always shows hotspots in your current view. (depending on the limit you've set in the menu you might have to change pages to see more hotsptos). But because of that behavior when you look at a route you'll always see locations taht are either near by or on the route itself.
