You have something on your page that has removed the mootools library. It is either your template or a plugin. Once you re-enable it the map should work as expected.

Daniel

I've put in and enabled mootools fot the page. Doesn't seem to change anything. I'm not realy an export in this area so i don't know what to do next. Coul dyou provide some more specific information on how to get the correct setting?

Thanks

I just checked your page again. There is no mootools on the page. Once you have mootools.js and mootools-more.js enabled it should be all fine again.

Daniel

I can't find mootools..?
It doesn't exist anymore on 2.5.14 Joomla, in the folder .../media/system/js

I have checked other sites I also have... and it is not there either, and they use other templates.

I can see "mootools-more.js", but not "mootools.js".
I can't see it in the plugin directory backend either?

Hey Nils,
Long time no see :)

There is a mootools-core and mootools-more in the media/system/js folder. (there are also uncompressed versions, which are also there). Even on 2.5.14 and the 3.x series. Mootools is still there and it is not removed. And it won't be removed for some time.

You guys have something on your site -> it is either the template or a plugin that disables them. You can test with the default template and if it is working, then your template is removing moootools. If it is not working, then it is a plugin. I would look at the plugins in the system folder and disable one a time till it starts working.

Regards,
Daniel

Well, I would not call this a blank map, but a blank page. Have you created a menu link to Hotspots or are you somehow trying to magically access hotspots?

In the joomla backend navigate to the global config and enable error reporting. After that we can have a look at the error message. Blt the first thing you would need to do is to actually create a menu item pointing to hotspots.

Cheers,
Daniel

Focusing on:

173.254.15.37/index.php?option=com_hotspots&view=hotspots

the error is:

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home4/welcomk5/public_html/components/com_hotspots/views/hotspots/view.html.php on line 70 Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home4/welcomk5/public_html/components/com_hotspots/views/hotspots/view.html.php on line 72

I did create a menu item, yes

Unfortunately, Joomla menu items are still confusing foe me, I still do not understand how to utilize them completely, I hope this is not the cause of this problem - here is a screenshot of the menu item in the backend - thanks

Once you create the link save it. Now go to the frontend of your page and click the wmm menu item.

Don't copy paste the link that you see in the link field in your screenshot. Your link is missing the necessary item id. If you click the link from the frontend it should work.

Daniel

Just a wild guess. I saw that your urls are site.com/name-of-item -> so I thought let me try be /wmm :)

That's it :)

hey you know Im just kidding about the hacker thing - :) - and probably my question is a more of a Joomla question than a template question, but your help would be appreciated , I will for sure be buying this template. Thanks

You need to create a menu item that is called map(ot at leas thas an alias of map) and have it published in your main menu. Then the link won't be wmm, but map.

cheers,
Daniel

don' tbe worried about the #!/ part -> it is not used by search engines, but it will allow your users to copy links and point people to specific directory for example
