I configured the component with 5 locations and 3 categories, and went to setup the Menu Item, and tried with either map view or single view, and when it loads the drop down for the required settings tab and box is blank. No options. It loaded once where I believe it was categories to choose for map. I tried to reinstall it and tried again to add a menu item and still nothing.

Well, that is strange. My first thought it is that you got a corrupt installation, but you said that reinstalling didn't help. Is this the latest core version? Maybe you've got a corrupt package when you downloaded it. Try to re-download, then reinstall. If you still experience the problem I'll need to have a look at your backend.

Regards,
Daniel

hey there! thanks for the access! I'm not sure why required settings are there - since actually all the settings are in the basic tab. Everything is working fine on your site.

The issue was coming from JCH. I've turned it off and the map is working as expected. You'll need to play with the settings of JCH until you find a combination that works for hotspots. (people are using JCH with hotspots, so it is possible - you'll need to fiddle around a little)

Cheers,
Daniel
