This is an update to the corrupted zip issue first mentioned in the below thread. I am creating a new topic so it's trackable for people that mihght get the issue in the future.
compojoom.com/forum/ctransifex/17681-pac...c?limitstart=0#20179

Issue:
ZIPs downloaded from the site are corrupted and open a ctgz file, when that is opened, its opens a zip again, and that goes on and on. It used to work but suddenly without clear reason the zips where broken. Even after getting new data from Transifex the issue was not fixed.

Solution:
Full uninstall (also remove database tables and entries in assets and extensions table), new install with all data and configuration options you had previously.

Long story:
When I moved a backup of the site to another location (same server), the zips where no longer corrupted. When I made a full new install, the zip's where also not corrupted. Downloading directly via FTP also works. So what was causing the issue? I don't know.

This is what I tried without success:
- remove htaccess/disable SEF
- remove security extensions like AdminTools that might block the download
- remove all folders in /media/ctransifex
- remove all database tables (except the one that holds project data)
- checked the permissions of files
- checked with error reporting to see if there was anything mentioned
- tried another unzip program

Nothing helped except a new install.
