I stumbled over CMC and it looks exciting!
I have installed ... all great and now I am linking Mailchimp to the Joomla user registration. Your manual says to use:
EMAIL=email
FNAME=name:0
LNAME=name:1
to merge the information.

A user subscribes, get an activation email and clicks on the link and then the following error message comes up:
COM_CMC_YOU_WERE_NOT_SUBSCRIBED_TO_NEWSLETTER:FNAME must be provided - Please enter a value
Your Account has been successfully activated. You can now log in using the username and password you chose during the registration.

Joomla uses only one field for the name information. Then in Mailchimp it should be split into first- and last name and I assume this is what we have put into the MERGE field in the plugin? So why is nothing passed over to Mailchimp?

Would be great to get a little help. Thank you.

How do you register? Have you provided just one name or 2 names separated with space.

In any case even if during registration you've provided just one name, since it would be the first -> then FNAME has to be populated.

regards,
Daniel

Hello Daniel

See a screenshot of my joomla user registration fields:

So I do have a first name and a last name in one field, separated by a space ...

Thank you.
