Hi,
I have looked around on this forum on the following matter. I have seen some hints and tips.
What I have is that in the CMC form I have on a site, the forms is set to English while I would like
it in the language of the websit. I have installed the language pack. This just changed the button text.
I tried to change it in MailChimp in the form list but without succes... Anything I am overlooking?

Let me know how to send the information so you can have a look at the site.

Greetings,

Charles

Change it in Mailchimp and after that update the module config. And it should be fine.

Hi Daniel

I have a mulitlingual site at www.cannyco.com . I would like to include a subscribe module on my home page in all seven languages linked to my (one) mailchimp list. I have downloaded the language pack for Dutch as a trial as it is 100% complete and have the same issue as above with only the 'subscribe' button showing in Dutch. However, I still wish to retain the English and so renaming the fields in Mailchimp is not an option for me.

How can I configure this please?

I also wish to allow people to choose between two groups 'I am a dog owner' and 'I sell pet products' that I have set up in Mailchimp. Is there a way to include this also (I will translate these group names into the languages also)?

In mailchimp you could enter the labels as: COM_CMC_MYFORM_EMAIL, COM_CMC_MYFORM_NAME, etc

Then in your joomla backend you can go to language override and create those labels: COM_CMC_MYFORM_EMAIL = email for english, then set one for dutch etc.
When we display the labels from mailchimp we run them through the JText function and this way they will be translated.

About the groups - can't you select the group fields in the module settings?

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel

Thank you for such a prompt and helpful reply - the language overrides have worked perfectly. :) With the groups, should there be a 'group' option or is this set up in the 'field mapping ' option? Finally, is it possible to set one of the form fields (country) as a drop down box to tally with countries in Mailchimp (to avoid people mistyping their country name)?

Kind regards

Sean
