Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your speedy reply.....
- I am submitting two summery screenshots.(the neme of teh files will indicate which is which)
- The first is one of the message that is generated when you place your cursor over the newsletter subscribe form field.
- The second is one of teh message that is generated when you submit the form without filling in the form.
My issue is that the generated text is in English. I would very mucht like to translate is to Dutch.

What I've allredy done:
1) Translated all that I could in Mailchimp itself (LIST > Settings > List Name & defaults > Signup form editor > Translate it > Set default language
2) As you cann see the form labels are allready translated... (did this in Mailchimp)
3) Checked the Mootools -more-js to see if nl-NL is present.... it is present..
Now I'm stuck and do not know where else to look for the solution.
Can you help met please?
Thanks in advance...

Best regards
Orlando

You are talking about "please fill out this field"??? This is actually coming from your browser :) Do you have a browser that is in Nl? Or in English?

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Yes.... that is the message I meant "Please fill out this field"...
And i an using an English browser....
I am suprised to read that this is being caused by my browser choice....
Is there no way to change that?

I have seen other forms where you can input what string you want to be echoed when a required field is not completed.
Is there no option like that in CMC mailchimp?
Thanks....

Hey Orlando,
So what is the issue exactly with "Please fill out this field"? If your browser was in nl, it would show the message in that language. If it was in german, it would show it in German. It is just following the choice of the user. Obviously if the user is running with an English browser - he knows english and that is what he want to see? Or am I missing something?

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Ok.. I follow your logic.... however....
I use an english browser because I am usally more comfortable with English Information Tech Jargon an English GUI...
But I would very much like to see a Dutch website to be completely uniform in the Dutch language.
For example....
Checkout this website's form submission page....
www.quericasalsa.nl/inschrijfformulier.html
  1. The website is in Dutch, and I see the information provided by each field in Dutch... eventhough I am using an English browser
  2. Also, if you try to submit the form without filling in any fields, the warning is parsed in Dutch... eventhough I am using an English browser
That, Daniel is the logic / funcionality I am looking for...
So in my opinion, the language that the website is built in and it's dynamic communication (language) should be independant of the webbrowser one is using.
Hope I make sense :)

Regards...
Orlando
