I felt so lucky when I found this free extension I could not believe my luck. For some reason, Mailchimp stopped supporting Joomla at version 2.5.
I was even happier when I saw that it supported Hikashop.

However, I have since found that it does not support the Hikashop registration and I am at a grave impasse. We want to use Mailchimp but no one has a mailchimp connector that works with the Hikashop Registration and Hikashop stresses that using their registration is paramount.

Is there a way to add a mailchimp subscription to the Hikashop registration? Maybe using an override?
I know I would be more than willing to pay for this and I am sure there are other Hikashop users that would gladly pay for a premium version.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Well, we support the 360 ecommerce integration, not the registration.
I have to look at the hikashop registration and most probably we should be able to create a registration plugin for it. Will run this with mailchimp for our next update and if they like it, we'll build it.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hello Daniel,

I am also needing some sort of registration integration with MailChimp when someone creates a user account via HikaShop. I note that your response in this thread was made a few years ago. Has the MailChimp subscribe function during registration ever been implemented? I've done a search in the HikaShop forums and also see that questions about this are from 2014.

Thank you,
Rich

Hello Daniel,

I find your CMC extension really great but I was disappointed to see that it doesn't support Hikashop registration. That was initially the reason why I chose it. The fact is that I read too fast and misunderstood "360 ecommerce integration with Hikashop" as "Hikashop registration" !.
I am very interested in the development of the same plugin as "CMC - User Registration Plugin" but for specific Hikashop registration process. You can easily download Hikashop freely and ask their support too, they're very good !
Please help :-)

Thanks,
Arnaud

Hey Arnaud,

Downloading Hikashop is not the issue. The issue is finding 10-12 hours to develop the integration :)

Regards,
Daniel

Hey Daniel, thanks a lot for your answer.
I'm very sorry you have no time for that. Let's say that it's good news you have a lot of work to do. I'm a bit overwhelmed myself very often.
I insist though. Is it possible to set my request on top position on your priority list? Of course I understand that you have to manage a lot of requests.
So do the better and let me know, please. I'm sure other users are interested too.
Regards,
Arnaud

did anything ever come of this? i know how difficult it can be to find time to develop products etc but this would be a godsend for a number of users - i'm sure there's more out there that just haven't bothered asking the question, or indeed just made do with whatever options there are!
