Just translate it in Mailchimp (in the form)? Or do you need to have it translated in several languages?

Regards,
Daniel

I would also like to replace "Subscribe" with different wording. I did try to translate it in Mailchimp (via the forms) but the change is not reflected on my site (i.e. the CMC module button still says "Subscribe")

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If you translate it in mailchimp, it should show on your site as well. Most probably the button has been cached or something of the sort.

Also the text of the button is run trough the Joomla JText function. This way you can add translations for different languages. For example instead of subscribe in mailchimp you can change the text to "COM_CMC_SUBSCRIBE_BUTTON" and then translate this text in your language file. But as I said at the beginning -> if you change the text in mailchimp, it should be reflected on your site.

Daniel

Hey there! I would like to change the text of the Subscribe button to say "Join us." I looked through the code in your php but couldn't find where the actual text comes from, so I couldn't change it. Can you let me know how to change that text?
Best
Jamey

Hey Jamey,
As we said above -> the text is taken directly from mailchimp. So login into your mailchimp account ,go to your form and change the text for the button.

Daniel

Hi Daniel

I have same problem. As suggested by you, I have cleaned out chache in Joomla and browser, but still my subscribe button says "subscribe" and not "tilmeld" as I have translated it to in Mailchimp. All my other field translations are shown in module. I have tried both with and without auto tranlate switched on in Mailchimp.
Any other things I should be aware of?

Thank you in advance

The subscribe button needs to be translated on your site. The string that needs to be translated is MOD_CMC_SUBSCRIBE and it is located in the en-GB.mod_cmc.ini file (in languages/en-GB).
You could use a language override to change it:
docs.joomla.org/J2.5:Language_Overrides_in_Joomla

Hi again Daniel
Thank you for the easy to use answer. I did the override and it works, the english version translates to the word I typed. So now I know how to make overrides :) but it does not solve my problem.

The Subscribe button changes fine to english and german without making any overrides.
I only have the problem in the Danish section. I then tried to make a new override choosing "Danish web" in Joomla, but the CMC_MOD_ is unknown in the danish section. When I try to make the overide in english and german it works fine. It must be something in the danish section..

What am I doing wrong?

Kind regards and thanks again..

Hi Daniel

I do not think I have a special Danish lang installed. I have checked for downloads at your site and as far as I can see there is no Danish lang available for Mailchip for Joomla. I can se that it is possible to help translate, but do you need coding expertice to do so, or can you just translate the diffrent phrases. Maybe I can help if it is fairly simple. Would it be the mod_cmc I need to work on in Transifix? Please advise.

Have a nice weekend
