TOPIC: CComment not functioning as expected

CComment (com_comment) set as Include in backend to show on the home page article category
It currently does not show.
I have tried setting all categories using Ctrl and select category to Include and it shows along with all the other category articles.
When i exclude the ones I don't want the show on the com_comment disappears from the page.
Currently I have set to not include 18 hole golf courses and the comment option still appears in the page.
Any suggestions welcomed

Can you make 2 screenshots of your configuration - one when it doesn't work and one whent it works.

Sorry sometimes I know what I'm thinking but it gets lost in translation
I now note after last evening setting Home page to be included that it is now showing is there some delay in the activation of these settings?

Images attached, I remember reading in one of your posts about the caching as a possible cause, I have had to turn off Auto Caching in the site for another issue with JEvents modules.
Not sure if this is the cause however I thought I would mention it as a possible one.
NOTE: 18 HOLE COURSES turned off but still showing.

Maybe but still that issue as detailed in images sent the Comment filed is still showing in 18 HOLES when set to not show?

Yes, that looks strange brian. If the "18 holes" article is really in the "18 holes" category, then the commen system shouldn't be loaded there.

Create a private ticket and let me have a look at your backend.
