Hi,
I'm using another extension, Modules Anywhere, to display an article at the 'left' position of my template. Now, I noticed that this does not allow CComment to work and am not sure why?
If you have any other suggestion to achieve what I like to do without this other extension I would appreciate any hints!

Cheers,
Manfred

What do you see from ccomment on the page? A read more button or what? CComment is cannot work in a module position. We use the current url to define if we are in single view or not. Since the url is not what the comment system would expect it should display a "read more" button or it shouldn't load at all (because the trigger event isn't existing in the module)

Regards,
Daniel

It's not showing anything, looks like not being triggered at all.
Does not seem to be right extension for me since I wanted to use it as a kind of shoutbox rather than comment on articles.
Shame, still a nice extension! Thanks for you explanantion!

yep, as I said it's not triggered because the module is not triggering the onaftercontent event. And event if it was the comment box would not show.

Yep, in your case you are better off with a shoutbox :)

Cheers,
Daniel
