TOPIC: In comments Names are displayed instead of Usernam

Here is an example:
www.acespot.net/index.php/tournaments/16...ember-2014-20-00-utc

As you can see, Ccomments is displaying the actual name of users and not their username/nickname. As you can understand this is not really a desirable thing. However, in the settings The Use Names option is toggled No, so I dont really know where to go from here.

Are you using the free or the PRO version? In the free version you cannot change that setting.

I'm using the free version, but I had expected that by default Ccomment would display the username, not someone's actual name? I don't even really understand why you would want to display the actual name of people because there's a reason why they picked a username for a website.

There is a pros and cons to both approached. If you more interested this is a good thread:

Every website owner has to decide for himself what he wants. As far the setting is concerned - I just checked and it is working in the pro version. Setting the value to yes, shows the real name, setting it to no - shows the username. I guess that the issue is that the defaut value is 0, but this is not saved in the database because the field is disabled. And in the code in the frontend where we check the value, I've set a default value of 1 and since use_names is not saved as setting in the database I opt for the real name and not for the username as shown in the config. Will have to address this in the next version.

Can you perhaps explain to me if it is possible to make Ccomment display the username by editing it in the public_html?

The latest update didn't change anything for me. Is there really not a way to edit some of the files of this plugin so it forcefully will retrieve the username, not real names?

Version 5.0.8 Core (free version) is using it!
I only tested this version, but the next days i will update to 5.2.2 and i hope nothing changed!

Correct, in the comments I want to display the users username, instead of their real name. I know that Ccomment is supposed to do exactly this, but for some reason it does not work correctly on my website, and I was wondering if theres anything I can do to force it to display the username (such as perhaps editing the files because something in there may be retrieving the real name)

As I said - this is a bug and it will be fixed in the next update.
