They load forever...

It also isn't possible to add a comment. Saving... and freezes there.

Go to the settings for com_content -> edit them and select a moderator group -> save. After that it should work.

Well, this actually should not happen. Did you install ccomment beta1 previously or is this a clean installation?

this happened to me as well just now. i downloaded and installed the free version. when i tried my first comment, it just hung as well. "Saving..." frozen. when i refreshed, there was no comment. i tried this comment as a non-registered user. When i logged in as superadmin afterwards and posted a comment, it worked with no problems. now for some reason, i can comment as a non-registered user without a problem as well. does the first comment have to be from a registered user?

btw, for some reason, i get email notifications to my superadmin now of comments posted even though i didnt click on the email notification button. notify moderator is set to no in backend.

@Kevin do you have "content creator moderator" option set to yes?

the 'content creator moderator' option was set to 'no'.

i did some more test comments and realize that after i write a comment, its is fine and no email notification is sent. however, whenever i refresh the article page, the comment notifications are sent to me on comments created since last page refresh.

i am using my localhost site now for ccomment and j2.5.9. I have only installed this component, community builder and jcomment component on the site.

Yes, that is the way it works if you haven't configured a cronjob for the mails. Look in the global options.

What does the mail look like? Is it a mail for the moderator or is it just a normal mail that tells you that there is a new comment?

From the email that you received it seems that you've placed a comment, have clicked the "notify" button and have provided your e-mail address. (you can check to see if this is the case in the backend) - on the manage comments page you should be able to see who has selected the notify option and who hasn't.

When you go to CComment-> Settings -> you have an options button -> this is the global config. The config that you've made a screenshot of is the plugin config :)

thanks Daniel. pls see screen shots. it looks like notify is on but i never checked it on when posting comments nor ever provided email addresses. even non registered user comments seemed like notify has been checked on.

Are you using rc1 or a beta version? Please update to the latest RC.
If you are using the RC I would need to have a look at your site to debug this. I'm out of ideas right now.

Regards,
Daniel
