Hi,

I've just started using the CMC extension but I've noticed if you submit the form twice for the same details then it updates the person to a subscribed status, even if they haven't clicked the link in the email - surly this is a bug as a spammer could just enter each email twice to get on your newsletter list? Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to change this so it only updates the persons status if they click the link in their email?

Cheers,
Nicole

Hey Nicole,
Are you sure that you have the "double opt-in" option set to true in the global config?

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Sorry I didn't get a notification that you'd replied to me so I didn't see this until now. Yes I have double opt-in turned on.

When the user first enters the details then they come up as pending but if the page is refreshed and they enter the details again then then they become subscribed without even opening the email (I've attached an image of what I see in the back-end)

I'm guessing this is a bug as then any robot/spammer could get round the double opt in?

Cheers,
Nicole
