I installed your plugin for my three joomla sites but the update notifications do not stay consistent across all sites. For example, if there is a component that I am using on all sites the cupdater may notify me for one site that an update is available. But for the other sites cupdater may not notify me for a day or more

Is there a way to synchronise this so that I get notifications around the same time for all sites?
Thanks

The problem with cupdater ist that it runs once every X hours. But it runs only if your site has visitors. Basically one of your visitors is triggering the check for updates. If there are no visitors on the site for few days, then the udpate check won't be triggered.

Daniel

Very interesting. If that is the case, then is there a way to make cupdater check for updates on a specific schedule?
Or is there a similar plugin that will accomplish this?

The somewhat random update check is annoying since each of my sites has unique components. As you mentioned, is there are no visitors for a few days, I still have to rely on manually checking

The only way to do what you want is to setup a cronjob. You could actually set up a cronjob to open the site with wget once every 24h for example and that should be enough to trigger the update.

I have no idea how to do that. But I will look on my webhost knowledgebase and see.

But I did notice something strange wiel joomla itself today while checking the cupdater configuration.
When you look at the system page, logged in as admin, one of my sites showed that an extension update is available. All my sites use this same plugin.
But, when I checked my other sites showed that extensions are up to date
