(1) The updater tells me there's an updated version, but the version is the same one already installed. I went ahead and downloaded it manually and re-installed, just in case, but I still get the same "updated version" notification with the "updated" version.

(2) I cannot get this component to import anything. I imported the full 80M Wordpress database into my Joomla database, which is called database_main. I have tried every combination I can think of for the database prefix, including:

database_main
_main
main_

nothing works. I get a "Tables seem to be missing, Watson" error.

So I figured maybe the software meant table prefix, even though it says database prefix. I tried both the Wordpress tables and the Joomla tables, with and without the underscore, but I get the same error every time.

Hey David,
Blank page when you access the ticket system? I just tried and it works fine. (your privileges also seem ok, so you should have access there)

Yes, we mean table prefix! (We'll correct this in the next release.)

So the if the table name is wp_something -> the prefix is wp_

if the table name is database_name -> the prefix is database_

If you still cannot migrate, then please submit a private ticket with access info to your site. ( if you still cannot access the system send me a mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). I'll need backend access as well phpmyadmin to debug it.

Thanks!
Daniel

P.S. Btw it is nearly 23o'clock here so I'll most probably reply again tomorrow.

Update: As usual, the moment I complain about something not working I figure out the problem 2 minutes later. This was a WordPress MultiUser (WPMU) site I was importing from, and it uses a table structure that looks like this:

WP_1_
WP_2_

I assumed (bad idea) that the WP_ would be adequate, but it isn't. You have to put in the whole thing. Works great! It imported so fast I thought something went wrong.

Not totally blank. It says CMigrator on the top. The header and footer modules are all there but no page content past the title.

Well, that is the kind of feedback I like to hear :) Any suggestions how to make it easier on people?

Kind regards,
Daniel

P.S. The problems that you have with the ticket system continue tobe really strange.
