TOPIC: com_k2 import cannot be selected or missing from

Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out how to import com_k2 only .. I need to import a bunch of blogs and manually would be a nightmare..

When I try to create a new configuration I can only select com_content

Can anyone help please?
Do I have to install something else? .. where can I configure import of K2 ?

So far I figured that you have to import the database tables from the Wordpress site then I converted to Joomla articles..

PROBLEM: Images are not being copied ... how do I achieve this ?
I still have no images.

I am downloading wordpress wp-content folder and copy it to the joomla installation to see if I can manage to figure out what is going on ..
PLease reply as for 59 dollars this is not really great so far.

You have to run the parsing. The parsing function will go over every single imported content will remove any known wordpress tags, will look at the images URL and will try to fetch the images from the live site and put it in the images folder.

If your images have a relative url in the content, the nyo ucan of course also copy the whole wp-content folder - this would also do it.

ok.. i tried copying the wp-fodler content but i see many of the articles appear to use the Gallery shortcode .. pretty common in Wordpress as I understand.
So I have references with ids like so: [gallery link="file" ids="1474,1472,1470,1469,1468,1467,1466,1465,1464,1463,1462,1461,1460,1459,1458,1457,1456,1455,1441" orderby="rand"]

how can i convert those shortcodes to automatically parse the images.. otherwise I bought this component for nothing .. as I would have to manually reapply all the images to each and every single article .. (there are about 350..)

Also another important question .. in the options for configuration I cannot see anything other than com_k2 etc.. any idea?
