Hi just obught pro version, just a question,
i would like to migrate a WP site on a joomla install.
I would like to migrate the content /user / and comment.
Like Joomla doesn't manage comment with simple article, how can i do to still use article and migrate comment ? Must i install a third part script like Komento or something else ?
Thanks !

All you need is the free Version of CComment: compojoom.com/joomla-extensions/ccomment
Install it on the joomla site prior to doing the migration, then enable comment migration in the settings and everything should be fine after that.

Daniel

Hi,
i've tested it with success, Articles and comments imported.
Now i would like to make another test with K2, after tested i can import articles but not comment, during the import i can see the system doesn't see any comment.
Logical ?
Regards,
Olivier

You don't see them where? Do you see them in the com_comment backend? Have you created a config for com_k2 in the comment settings?

Daniel

Ok, i don't udnerstand why to make the import i need to isntall ccomment, K2 has its own comment system so it's not very clear why for a paid component i need to use another one to realize comment import : goo.gl/4L3y2t
So i made k2_com in ccomment, and make another import without success, the system see only the comment when i use article import, not joomla import :(

Hey Olivier,
Since CComment is free and even in the free version it has more features than the build in k2 system I don't see where the problem is (if you want to know the reason - we first did the com_content import, which had the comment import. Then we created the k2 import and it would have cost us a lot of time to import the comments in the k2 system, so we went with what we already have).

It should import the comments properly. Since that is obviously not the case for you would you mind creating a ticket on our site and giving me access to the site where you do the migration. I'll have a look at what's going on and fix the problem for you.

Regards,
Daniel
