Dear Compojoom Support,

I've followed your instructions to export database from Drupal version 6 using the quick method, but this did not dump all data into single sql file as explained in your tutorial. Am I missing any settings?

Also, after importing all tables of Drupal into the same Joomla database, I do not know what to choose as table prefix in the cmigrator configuration as the tables have different prefix in Drupal.
Whatever I choose cmigrator found nothing to import :( .

Any help is much appreciated, looking forward to hear from you soon.

Regards,
Andre

Hey Andre,
I'm a little confused. How many sql files do you have? It actually doesn't matter -> if php admin give you 20 sql files -> then you'll have to import them all in your joomla db.

As for the prefix. Drupal has the following table "node" . In this case there is no prefix.
But if the table name is for example "drupal6_node" - the prefix would be drupal6 . If the table name is xyzd_node -> then the prefix is xyzd_

Does this help?
Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your quick reply. I meant one sql file but after importing it will turn into 100 tables.
So I found difficult what to choose as prefix, I tried many options but none works.
After your explanation, the migration works, but I wish this was mentioned in your tutorial to use blank in the prefix when importing from Drupal site, it may have saved me much time.

Anyway, after migration works and many articles were moved correctly, I found that many other articles weren't moved and received the following error:

ErrorArticle with an title 'طريقة عمل البيتزا هت الاصلية ' could not be stored into your database! Article id = 461
ErrorArticle with an title 'طريقة عمل عصير المانجو المنعش بالصور' could not be stored into your database! Article id = 492
ErrorArticle with an title 'أجمل الطرق في وسائل تربية الاطفال ' could not be stored into your database! Article id = 493

Please find attached a snapshot of the errors I'm receiving, hope you have a fix for them:

Looking forward to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,
Andre

Hey Andre,
Well, we'll update the documentation. (but drupal websites can have a prefix :))

Since I have your database I cannot tell you why the articles were not migrated. By looking at the title your site is in Arabic language? Were the other migrated articles also in Arabic?

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your prompt reply and your quick support :)
Yes, all the articles are in Arabic, they are just normal html. I'm trying to migrate the site from Drupal6 to Joomla2.5, could these errors be related to this type of migration?

If I send you a link to download the database, will you be able to check it?

Thanks for your help again.

Best regards,
Andre

Hey Andre,
Could you please the latest dev release?
compojoom.com/component/ars/repository/dev-cmigrator

The problem is the arabic language. Joomla doesn't know how to handle the titles for urls -> they all get stripped out, because arabic is not safe for URLs(the browser doesn't know what to do with them). So we end up having the same alias and when this happens -> we can't store the new articles. Now we put the node id in the alias field + a random number + title.
This way I was able to import the articles.

Daniel

Thanks Daniel, the last patch has worked on my local server correctly. I was able to import all articles without any problem. I need more info on how to use the Base site URL configuration in order to move correctly the images of my old site. Shall I put the URL of old site or new site?
Where the images will be located on the new site?

One more quetion, is it possible to migrate the comments from Drupal site if I purchased your comment component?

Best Regards,
Andre

In the base URL field you need to put the url of the drupal site.

About the comments - we currently don't support comment migration for drupal. The problem is that drupal doesn't come with built in comment system...

Kind regards,
Daniel
