I'm having an odd issue I think. In phpMyAdmin, I've selected the Joomla database, then I click th import tab. It says that I am importing to the Joomla database, but when it finishes, it just creates a new database and none of the wordpress entries are located in my Joomla database. What could I be doing wrong?

Your exported sql file has "create database" statement in it.

So go again in the wordpress database -> click on the db name. Then go to the export tab. Select only the tables -> this should create a dump with only the tables. Now you should be able to import them.

Cheers,
Daniel
