I could not find a clear answer in documentation section. What happens to extra fields from Drupal and WP ? Is it possible to transfer simple fields by mapping them to K2 extra fields?

Hey Rex,
We currently don't support this. However if you wish -> you can send me your drupal/wp database and tell me exactly which fields you would like to import.

I can then investigate and we can add such a feature in some of the new releases. ( I don't promise anything ;))

Cheers,
Daniel

No current project, yet. I guess, extra field support might be tricky and a lot of work?! At least, simple and standard fields would be enough. Would be a real time saver and the main reason for a purchase. K2 does not have advanced fields, but the storage seems to be different (un-usual).

Also interesting to think about support for:

- FlexiContent & ExtraFields
- Zoo & ExtraFields

Images:
Does it support images at all? Since Joomla has this new intro/full image backend parameter... you might store D7 image field info there... same applies to K2 and FlexiContent. Not sure about WP image handling.

Hey Rex,

Sorry for late answer, I checked out possibilities for adding support for FlexiContent and Zoo...
Well, as far as I know FlexiContent is content system for Joomla! 1.5.x version and CMigrator demands 1.6.x or newer Joomla (best 2.5.x)!. So I guess we wont support this in future..
About Zoo... Zoo has been removed from Joomla! extension official site?! You can see it here: Joomla! extensions . Am I right about this one?

Can you help us a bit about ExtraFields? What can we find about article in ExtraFields?

About images, after version 0.3 you can parse your articles. This way, all of your images inside your articles will be downloaded to /images/cmigration folder. Also, all your article links to those images fill be fixed!

Cheers, Petar
