my friend has this site www.melbourneclinicalhypnotherapy.com.au

as you can see the Mod_comments module doesn't seem to take you to the !joomlacomments blogs.

G'day!

This is a problem with SEF links. Can you find out (or ask your mate) if they are using either (1) Joomla native SEF, or (2) sh404SEF, or (3) A different SEF extension..?

Then we can go from there. Also share what version of Joomla and JoomlaComment the site has.

The Latest Comment module does have many bugs for link generation, we are working on making it more compatible with SEF links. So hopefully you can give me as much info as possible here so I can do my own testing and fixing ;)

1) Upgrade to the latest Joomla!, JoomlaComment4 requires at least Joomla 1.5.10 to work properly
2) Upgrade to JoomlaComment Beta 2, many bugs have been fixed
3) Then remove the mod_comments and install the newest one from the download section here on CompoJoom, just to make sure you have the newest version of the module
4) When you have done all that, if it still doesn't work then we have found another bug. It may be sh404SEF related, I am not sure, since I run the latest Beta on my site and locahost now (newest one since it started costing money).

I'm having similar problems with the module. I'm running !joomlacomment 4.0 Beta 2 and have Joomla 1.5.14. I just re-downloaded the module and installed it. Whenever I click the link to a comment from the module it just goes to my homepage.

I am running sh404SEF and assume this could be part of the problem. In my sh404SEF control panel it's set to use the default handler for the comment component.
