TOPIC: Problem activating comments at puarcade games

Hello everyone,
I want to enable comments on puarcade games.

I read the following puarcade Topic but there are many posts and it is complicated to find some steps, so I opened a new topic if you don't mind

I am using JoomlaComment 4.0 beta2.
and Joomla Version 1.5.14

1. I should go to Component PuArcade --> Settings --> Integration Options activate
Which Type of the following three should I use?
- Jom Comment
-!JoComment
-JComments
I have tested all of them.

2.I have activated the plugin "Content - !JoomlaComment ". Please note that the there is also another plugin "System - !JoomlaComment CleanCache" which is disabled

3. I have downloaded the com_puarcade.zip. at / administrator / components / com_comment / plugin / com_puarcade
In the com_puarcade folder I already have the files:
- index.html
- Josc_com_puarcade.class.php
- Josc_com_puarcade.php
Should I replace them?

4.Which code should I copy to /components/com_puarcade/ puarcade.html.php? and where exactly?

Sorry if some of my questions are stupid!!!
Please help me!

Ohoho 4.0 beta2 - this was a long time ago - like end of 2009???

I'm not sure, but I think that I have fixed some problems with puarcade in the latest versions.
In puarcade you should enable -!JoComment (but I think that they had an error in their integration code - search their forum for this )

Those are not related to the puarcade plugin.

Point 3 is fine.

Have you actually created a configuration for puarcade under other component settings?

I am using this "old" beta version but I am very happy and haven't found any problem at all!
The Greek letters that I cared about are displayed fine, so everything works perfect!

No I haven't configure anything at "other component settings". Do I have to?

Yep, you have to create a configuration for puarcade!

Well - it is not good to use old version man! If you read carefully our blog you will see that we released several security updates - your version has some security problems, so I guess best would be to update.

Should I download and use the "joomlacomment4.0.0RC1.zip" file?
Sorry but my site is very small and I am not willing to make a subscription.

To upgrade, should I uninstall first the component, and the install the new zip file?
All previous article comments are not lost?

RC1 is better than beta2 for sure.

I don't want to sound rude, but look at the subscription like this: if there are no people to subscribe, then you won't have this component. I spent time developing and supporting this component - why shouldn't I be compensated in any way for my time? At the end without such components you won't be able to make your website

And as a bonus for our subscribers - we have a 19 pages PDF document that describes how to update and how to configure puarcade to work with compojoomcomment
