TOPIC: no write comment link

Hi, because I couldnt figure out how to make it possible for readers to comment in Joomla on articles, I used this module for comments. I had a small issue with installing which is adressed elsewhere in the forum (had to move some files manually) The problem isn't that the module isn't installed, you can access it in the adminstration panel. The problem is that the articles do not show a comment link at all. I haven't found other readers with the same problem, so I guess I'm doing something wrong. I tried reinstalling, but that didn't work. The Beta versions give a missing xml file error, so I can only install the current version

the php version my server uses is PHP Version 5.2.3
I have chmodded every folder that is mentioned in the directory permissions folder to writable (777)

I changed the front-end language to english, no difference.
I would really like my friends to be able to comment on my articles

Please advise me what to try next

I'm looking for the same sort of thing. I'm looking for a comment link that is associated with each post. I could even do a link like the one at the top right corner of this post where it says #9033. Does anyone know how to go about this? Maybe I'm just overlooking it.

write comment link like on the frontpage of compojoom?

I didn't see a comment link on the front page of compojoom, unless I'm just missing it. I was referring to how in this post (in the kunena forums) above your profile is a number. If you click on the number, it gives you a url that will direct someone directly to your post. I'm wanting to know if there is a way of doing that through !joomlacomments. A better example would be this " demo.getk2.org/en/component/k2/item/21-n...uring-bike#comment98 " This is how k2 does their comment links. I don't want to use K2, because I don't think you can reply to their post, and I like !joomlacomments better. Do you know a way of accomplishing the comment links? Thanks in advance for your time.

I mean there is no way at all for followers to react to my postings (see blog.shelagh.nl/ ), no link, no number, no image, nothing....

ps I'm a noob with Joomla and this addon (I'm used to wordpress)

I found the solution, it was after all an installation problem, when copying the files by hand I didn't make the system folder in the plugin folder. It works now
