TOPIC: Layout issue after upgrade to 4.0 beta 2

I just upgraded from 3.26 to 4.0 beta2. I left the 'uninstall complete mode' to 'no' and my comments are still there and it seems the settings are basically the same, which is good. However, the layout of the bottom row of the comment area where the "Reply|Quote|Edit|Delete" and the 'Like' or 'Dislike' buttons are should be formatted but they are not it seems (see attached image).

Also, from what I saw in the demo of 4.0, it shows the number of comments in the top left corner [Example: Comments(25)]. I do not see that- it only says "Comments" What happened and how do I fix all this?

In Content Settings>Layout>Standard Template (and also Your Customized Template), I have both set to 'css-blackg' and the image in my previous post is what it looked like. When I changed it to another color, for example, 'css-red', the image below is what it looks like... more normal, but still not correctly displayed. Why is the 'css-blackg' not working properly or any of the others for that matter? How can I fix this?

I see that you use a custom template. Since version 4.0 the default template is not anymore included in the package, but since you've copied the old one it was not deleted during the uninstallation process.
Go to layout and choose the modern template - then tell me the result

Thanks that seemed to hae helped... howeer, why is there so much space in the box now (as shown below)? I bet this has something to do with the smiley in the comment... when I highlight it (drag mouse oer while clicking) it highlights the smiley and all the space above it...

(could only attach one image but this is where the smiley is selected (highlighted)...

It was the smiley (emotion) causing this because when I disable emoticon support (layout settings), the comment area becomes normal size. But why does it put so much space above the emoticon?
