I've read several threads on installation problems and have tried all the suggestions, but I still can't successfully upload this extension. This is my current error message: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\wamp\www\rorymoulton\libraries\joomla\filesystem\archive\zip.php on line 325

I've gone into my php.ini and changed the execution time to 300 seconds, but that doesn't work. I've deleted all folders and tables and tried to reinstall only to get the same or similar error message.

Got any idea what's up?

I've heard lots of good things about this extension, so I'd like to get it to work rather than find a new comment extension.

Thanks in advance.

Hey there Rory!
Did you restart the apache server after changing the values in php.ini ?

You can try what I've learned yesterday on joomladay france. Unpack your extension locally in a folder - for example joomlacomment. Then upload this folder to the tmp folder of your site.

Then in the install manager write the path to your ..../tmp/joomlacomment folder and see if this help. Unzipping the file on the server is time intensive and this way you will save the time necessary for unzipping. Perhaps it would help.

Great! That worked like a charm. Man, I really like this extension.

I am, however, unable to get the comment link and the comment count to stay on one line. Check out the screenshot. How do I change that?

Awesome support! I think a donation and 5-star vote is in order.

You will have to play with your readon css class and make a bigger picture to fit there.
