Before you ask, /public_html/plugins/content was set to permisson 777 for the test, so that's not the problem.

well, not always 777 is the cure. It is important what user do you use for accessing the filesystem and if that user is allowed to make the changes. In your case it seems that the user that created the files cannot move them.

That is why move per ftp the files to the necessary location and it should start to work.

The problem was that the /home/br/public_html/administrator/components/com_comment/plugin/joscomment.php did not exist.

By any chance: Could you upload a "nightly build" of the component?
