TOPIC: joomlacomment4.0.0alpha3.zip Install is Faulty

I have been trying to Upload the Package "joomlacomment4.0.0alpha3.zip" for the last two days in Joomla 1.5.10 and it always fail with the following error:
Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\joomla\components\com_comment"
Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\joomla\administrator\components\com_comment"
I have followed installation presentation video from compojoom. can someone please take me out of this misery.

Do you have 3.26 installed on the server?

The error message says that there is already a com_comment folder. If such folder exists the installer is unnable to rewrite it. That is why you have to first uninstall any prior version and it should work then.

I do not have anything but 4.0 installed. I have gone a step furthure and uninstall Joomla, Apache and all remove related folders. On re-install, I get the same problem.

Now that you have talk of 3.26, I will download it and install with 1.5.10. It may well be an issue with joomla 1.5.10. I will appreciate if you can forward the link to 3.26 and i will try.

I don't understand you. If you have installed 4.0 - then you must be able to see it in the backend?

Is there or not? Look at the database, are the tables created? (jos_comment ....)

It is not installing the tables at all. What happens is that when I click "Upload" the browser gives "HTTP 500" error and nothing happens.

I have explicitely defined my server name on httpd.conf and on retry i am getting the following error:

change the maximum execution time in php.ini to something like 120 seconds and then try again.
