TOPIC: 3.26 or 4.0?

Hello

I know 4.0.0 alpha is not ready for commercial sites. I installed it for test purposes, but I could not installed the plugin (I received this message: Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.)

I want to install the plugin... how can I do that? I do not not understand why MMSBlog pluging is saved as component com_mmsblog.zip. Is it ok?

If I want to install 3.26... where can I get it? On download section, I only find 4.0.0.

Finally, what will be the upgrade process from 3.26 to 4.0.0. stable? Patch? New Installation?

You have to manually upload the plugins to administrator/components/com_comment/plugin. But you will also find that the mmsblog plugin is part of the 4.0 release.

The upgrade process is very simple. Uninstall the old version, install the new one. All comments should leave untouched.

Of course you will have to make a backup, just in case something goes wrong.

The 3.2.6 version does not appear to be available for download at the Downloads section of your website -only the 4.0 alpha3 version. Is that intentional? Is there a hidden link somewhere?

But FYI, if I click on your Download menu and then follow the link for Joomla 1.5 and then for the Component, I see no indication of a 3.2.6 link. I'm not complaining, just trying to be helpful because others are having trouble finding it too. I saw a couple of other forum posts asking about it.

"!JoomlaComment components, plugins, modules and templates for joomla 1.5 native" - native is the keyword.

joomlacomment 3.26 is working in legacy mode and that is why it is not listed in the joomla 1.5 section.
