TOPIC: Manual Installation

I am new to Joomla. Could you give me step by step instructions for a manual install? I am using Joomla version 1.5.9 and being hosted by godaddy. I tired installing through the extension manager but keep getting an error.

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* Warning! Failed to move file.

I'm sorry to say this, but I'm not going to give you step by step instructions for a manual install. Why? Because this is a pain in the ass!
One hour you will be trying to install it and at the end you will wonder why it is not running.

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* Warning! Failed to move file.

This means that the guys running the server are not willing you to give you the necessary rights to write to it.
This also means - that you are unable to install any joomla extension.
