TOPIC: installing errors !

iv tired a couple times now to install comments but with no luck!!
1st time i downloaded the component then install zip file from joomla admin but screen went blank !
the com. was in the com. menu but when click on it it came up with this message something about table could not been found...

next time i change the zip file name to com_comment.zip from joomalcomment.zip but this it came back with "or! Could not find an XML setup file in the package."

so am abit stuck what to do next ??

Please look in your server's error log. It will tell you what the problem is and then we will have a hint what to recommend

not to sound to stupid ! where do i find the server logs ? am running this locally on a Mac in Mamp ? in joomla 1.5

i tried installing it again this time through the tmp folder! again it just went to a blank screen! after hitting the back btn
i noticed it had install in the components menu but this is the msg i get when clicked on it...

so i take by that it wasnt install right ?

Look in the apache folder of the mamp - there should be a folder logs.

From the message above what I can say is that the sql queries were not executed (the jos_comment) doesn't exist.
Please let us know what the error log says.

Same here...

we have same problem.... when im trying to install the com.. through the admin back end... and viooolaaaa.... got the blank screen....

what should i do... there is no error message... its just blank... nothing happen...

ok this is my joomla version

1.5.9 security version, the newer version of joomla

and im working in localhost

or maybe the version of joomlacomment i used (3.2.6) not supported to joomla 1.5.9 yet ?

what should i do now ? actually i like this com very much, owya... im trying to use the legacy mode, but still the same, not working too

hey there. I've got the error log from Daniel. Here is what I find.

What I can say - try to increase the memory_limit in php.ini . Make it 64MB, this should solve the problem.
Please let me know if everything is working

But, any way..... im working in my localhost, and actually its working one time... and now i got 500 server internal error... what should now ?

my problem solved

first, i do as you said "increase the memory limit to 64MB". but its not the only one, coz i need to increase the" max_execution_time = 90", the component need more time to install than usually,

BUT its to late, coz i have reinstalled my joomla...

anyway, i hope this can help everyone who have same problem
