TOPIC: mod_comments to show most commented of the last xxx days

Is there a way to modify the code so that the module mod_comments shows only the most commented messages of the last xxx days?

You should change the query in the plugin and add the restriction for the days. Could you make it, or should I tell you how to do it
the com_content plugin resides in administrator/components/com_comment/plugin/com_content/jos_com_content.class.php
