TOPIC: Size validation and Message Label

Hi,

I use JComment 3.26 for about 1 year and Im very satisfied. It the best comment extension for Joomla which I found. I esspecialy like email notification functionallity. However, I have some suggestion in order to make JComment more better.

1. JComment should have message label which is adjustable for admin panel. For example, I would like to have message: "Comments with capital letters will not be published", "Maximal allowed lenght of message is 100 character" or something similar.
2. Link Term of use. When user click on it, litle pop up window which conatin rules should be open. It is similar as 1. but in more detail.
3. In current implementation, there is not message when user submit comment which has lenght bigger then allowed and his comment will be cated. User should know in advance allowed lenght, user should know how many character is left, and finaly it should disable typing if user reach maximal lenght.

I hope this imporvements will be published in the next release.

Nice suggestions, actually all this is on our feature list and we will get it sooner or later.

It will be sooner if more users engage and help in the forum or with donations. It will be later if I have to do everything alone

I have to agree with dragan as to the comment size limit. I wasn't aware of the size limit until today, when a frustrated user contacted me about this

What is the size limit? Is there a way for the administrator to change it? It would be nice to have a setting for this instead of hacking into this
