TOPIC: Easy way to ban IP's from the comment moderation list

I would love to be able to auto ban an IP address simply by clicking the checkbox next to a comment and then clicking an icon in the menu to add that IP address to the end of the ban list in the security tab. Maybe even a "delete comment and ban IP" button!

I also have not tried it yet (just installed 4.0) but do wildcards work now in the ban list? Like 132.23.24.* ?

Seriously though, yeah they are pretty good suggestions. Since they are not a bug we wont have a great deal of priority on these, but with any luck and time permitting they will be in the next release.

Wildcards on IP... i'm not sure, i'd be surprised if they wernt supported. If you try entering 123.123.123. by itself maybe it will work? But there's no way to test that... and I have no idea where to check the code to find out sorry! Daniel will have to answer that one.
