hi everybody !

Here is a proposal for the future version of this wonderful component :
Only logged users can read comments

Example : In frontend there are 2 comments with the preview (if possible)
But I don't want visitors clik to see the comments
message error :  Only logged users can read comments

If I use a module or future option in joomla(1.6 :silly: ) in order to hide content after "read more" > visitors don't can see comments

topic started here
Daniel D << there is no option for this in the backend>>
JonusC <<usefulness for College/University websites>>
and me <<I have the utility for my site that is private (only to keep in touch with my friends)>>

thank you for your interest ;)

I would like to have any logical reason for this. Please give me an example.
Whatfor is this usefull?

If you make the article for only registered users and you set the show teaser option in joomla - you will be able to show the rintro text to unregistered and when they click on read more they will have to login. This is also true for joomlacomment.

My site is private, only dedicated to my friends

I want visitors only to go on home page (only the introduction of Articles -> and no after "read more").

Currently I succeeded:
The members, after Authentication with " mod_cblogin " have access to all menus, all modules with " com_juga ",
the entire contents of the article with " hider hider "and all the comments! with Joomlacomment :) "

but with Joomlacomment all user can see the comments or nobody

I hope you understand me

No, I don't understand you.

If your articles have the access level registered and you have enabled the option to show only the intro text to unregistered users how the ... the unregistered users succeed to read the comments?
To read the comments you should open the article view - and when you try to do this joomla should tell you that you don't have the necessary permissions for this. Or has something changed with 1.5? I remember that with 1.0 it was not possible to view the article.

hi

I don't want articles have the access level registered
If articles have the access level registered , there are no articles on homepage

Resume
visitor only read "intro article" > it's OK
visitor only read "write a comment" > it's OK (Only registered > YES > Only registered users can write comments.) I have a message error if visitor want to write
visitor only read (for exemple) " 2 comments" > It's OK but i don't want visitor can read this 2 comments

I would like
"2 comments" is not clickable or an error message "only register can read comments"

thank's for your interest

As Daniel said, use the "Intro Text only to Unregistered Users" then just make the entire article the intro text.

Use the Intro Text only to Unregistered Users hen just make the entire article the intro text.

for example i use the code in article :

Hello friend

Publish the article for registered users. Then go to menu->menu item. Advanced options->Show Unauthorised Links set to yes and this shoudl do the trick.
