TOPIC: author / owner notification on new comment

Author / owner of an article should be notified by e-mail for each new comment, just the way the other users that have commented on that item are notified.

I think that he is refering to this post: compojoom.com/forum/5-joomlacomment/6-bu...fication-of-comments but it is pretty old and won't reflect the structure of compojoomComment anymroe.

Author notification is something that is going to make it in the next version as a lot of users have requested it.

I use your comments system with great success on all my sites. But I need a solution for a multi authors (journalists) situation. I was ready to pay, as I know the quality of your product. Hopefully I will probably come across another project with the same demands when your modifications can permit author notification. For now I need to find a solution....

I see other big comment components (that finally don’t work with bugs on explorer, motools conflict (Waist 9 hours on that yesterday) use a plugin to add that functionality?????

I will have to go for a simplier working solution....

That functionality will bring your already excellent component to new height....

Are you talking about compojoom or other comment component?

A quick question to you - are you using the standard joomla article component or something like K2 ?
I've promised this functionality to a lot of people and it is going to be implemented. Just please look from my point as developer - this is a huge undertaking - I have to make sure that this works with all of our plugins, and that you have a way to configure everything. It is not something that I can make in 5h

Are you any closer to adding this functionality to compojoom? I have compojoom working very well on a site. My community would be even better, if author notifications on comments could happen.
