did you use this with !JoomlaComment4.0 ?

Yes I Use JoomlaComments4.0!

Have you checked the server settings?
Magic Quotes??

I'm not sure to know what you are taking about!

And with the pugin this words appears like this: "c\'est", l\'arme", "quelqu\'un"

If you check backend System info under the Help button in the menu.
Then press PHP settings, you will see the 6th statement there refers to Magic Quotes, if this is On or Off.

This might be the cause of those backslashes preceding your single quotes.
Just a suggestion, as I don't know much on this stuff, I just know I had the same problem, and that was where it was coming from.

Perhaps this should now split into a new thread???

I installed the plugin, and it is brilliant! :)
But..
It sees all comments from this JoomlaComment component, regardless of whether or not it stems from a plugin adaptation or the default positions to articles.

Which to start with is a good starting point! :)
However, when it is linking to the article, it only seems to refer to articles stemming in the content sections.

So if I have a plugin installed to for example Events, and I have made some amazing comments there... it will be seen, and posted.
But the link back to it from the tab in the CB Profile will point to the correct article number, but NOT in the Events area.

In my PHP setting I have :
Magic quotes: Activé (activated)

In my Php information I have :
magic_quotes_gpc On On
magic_quotes_runtime Off Off
magic_quotes_sybase Off Off

This good?
I'm not sure to know what I should do know...

Can You hejp me please?

Thank a lot

(ps: the backslashes appears only whith the plugin cbtab)

Your settings here seem to be correct, although I am not an expert in these kind of things.
The settings you show here are seen in the PHP Information tab, as far as I can tell.

The first or second tab is called PHP Settings.
There I have Magic Quotes: On.
My use of quotes look like this in the !JoomlaComment:

It is better someone smarter than me answers this.
But as far as I can tell, this is a server handeling issue, and not a !JoomlaComment issue...

The official cb plugin is now available to our users that have a support subscription:

Geez, this was easy!
And I was super glad to see that it links correctly to whatever area the Comment has been made!

As stated previously, the CB-Comments plug from previous didn't take into account for comments being made outside of the regular article sections.
Hence, it was pulling correct ID nr, but auto-assosiating it to the article section, rather than where it may have stemmed from.

So, as I have, also comments for the Event section, thanks to the plugin there, the Comment plugin was previously pointing the link for it, tot an article by the same ID.
I was hoping this would be solved here, and YES INDEED, it worked!!

Thanks again, great work.
