I had that same problem at first but i changed a setting in joomlacoment and it fixed it, its under the layout and then it is called

Columns number of the input area:

its default at 40 i changed mine to 20 and it fixed it. it also fixed the comments that were going over the template on articles.

Been a while since it's been updated....

...very impressive though :) Not sure if the original creator is still going to improve this (Karma added btw) but I will take a gander at this sometime in the future.

I stopped developing this plugin, because I don't need it anymore. I realised that drupal is much better community CMS than joomla. The only thing I miss there is joomlacomment.

I didn't swap to drupal. I just chose it for my project, because it suits my needs better. Joomla is still running my school's website and I will use it for more projects.

Is Drupal also good with content? I haven't used it in a very long time... and perhaps they upgraded, or mabe I did'nt give it enough time.

It really depends. I have used joomla on three sites, two were seriously content driven and the other not so much. I tested drupal twice and it just didn't have the options and administrative things joomla has. Also when i tested it (about 4 months ago) it seemed that it wasn't really being updated much and a lot of the things were third party and full of bugs. I'm sure for someone who is way more code savvy drupal might have a lot of potential but for me it wasn't what i was looking for.

Drupal is good system. I didn't find any bugs in it. Many big sites use it.
Here is the video about drupal that changed my opinion http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4gfqu_introduction-to-drupal_tech

Traitors! I won't tolerate this mutiny, you're all banned!

 i'm KIDDING obviously! Haha

I havn't ever used Drupal, I only started using Joomla about 5 months ago because I heard so many things about it. I only actually heard about Drupal a few weeks ago.

Well, this cbTab addon for JoomlaComment seems pretty good yeah? I imagine it will be improved in time eventually by someone, i'll take a look at it soon.

Haha... well apparently Drupal does do some things better than Joomla, there's a thread over on the official Joomla forums at forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=4364 that seems pretty interesting. From what I gather, Joomla is generally easy to use for a basic style site but Drupal is more complicated but handles membership/social related websites better. Out of the box at least... no idea how Drupal compares on the extension side of things ;) EDIT: Although it's pretty old (before Joomla 1.5), I found a good comparison chart here - www.alledia.com/blog/general-cms-issues/...ne-is-right-for-you/ so yes, it does really depend on what you want. I still think Joomla is best suited for the majority of people, in my personal opinion :)

And yes the plugin is awesome! THanks again!

You mean JoomlaComment? Thank Daniel for that :P

I installed version 3 of this useful plugin but when I try and access a profile it gives me this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function setQuery() on a non-object in /home2/cfbpscom/public_html/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbjomcommenttab/cb.jomcommenttab.php on line 43

did anyone else get this or know how to resolve it? thanks

ah yes, I just downloaded 4.0 beta. I guess I'll have to wait for an official CB tab plugin for this extension. thanks for your reply.
