There is a problem with 5.1 and there is no easy way around it.
The next version will warn about this.
Please ask your host if they can upgrade your php.
Cheers,
Daniel

Hi ya

I got one tiny problem, when I'm using "Ajax support" on, my users get the following error display
<post><after>-1</after>
<noerror>1</noerror><debug></debug>

                2010-05-01 13:04:24

            	|SAdministrator|

                somename
             - dsa

sdasdssdad

                    ReplyEditDelete

</post>

That's within the actual text field AFTER they have hit the save button. So they hit it again and again and again... and become frustrated after a while and me I'm gettin' about 5 similar comments. 4 I will delete manually one is being published by me.

I'm using J 1.5.17 and Joomlacomment 4.0 RC1.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Turning it Ajax support off leaves me with am empty left side menu - no good at all. But then it at least seems to work without this strange failure text within the actual text field for the user. Any ideas?

Great tool BTW, love it so far.

Best!

Hey gruppy,
Did you change the template or the language file?

Hi

you're fast :0)

yup. I changed a few colours in the black template - did that do anything? Can try one of the "untouched" ones. Wait a minute, gonna give another one a try and see if that does the miracle.

Back in a minute

Me again

Nope, the untouched red css file just gives out the same thing: "Request failed" and then the code as mentioned above. Oops and the language file I didn't touch.

Best!

Normally this message appears only when the user change something in the language or template file and doesn't use an utf-8 capable editor. Please change your template to a standard one and the language file to another one. If it is still failing, then please provide me with a link to your website.
Cheers,
Daniel

Dear Daniel

Tested my heart out, tried different language files and templates all taken and uploaded from your package distribution to my webspace: error persists. Only deactivation of your Ajax makes it work with mentioned unwanted side-effects to my menu to the left. Will send you my addy via PM.

Best!

Your PM Systems says: Direct Access to this location is not allowed. And now? I seem to have a bad day, sorry for gettin' on your nerves here.

hey Gruppy,
I'm happy that everything is working for you. And thanks for the report about the PMS - I don't know what is wrong with it now.
Cheers,
Daniel

Hm, I thought that UddeIM is 1.5 compatible, but they are not. So turning off legacy mode on the site was a stupid idea from my side. Thank you for the report again!

Having sorta migration problems, hey?! Sorry couldn't resist, mate, just made my "big move" last week. After seven days of working myself through everything I simply forgot what I did where. Sounds familiar?! Glad that PM is working now for you. And also thanks for a great add-on and such a good service here - not always the case with all add-on suppliers!

Will leave positive feedback back at joomla's! =) TX again.

Best!

Man, please start your own thread. But when I look at your website:
webdesign.waiyan.tk/index.php/home/joomla/joomla--/main-menu
It is clear that you not only have problems with joomlacomment. Everything is broken.Don't expect joomlacomment to work when all the other stuff isn't.
