TOPIC: Explorer 7/8 trow an error when RSS are enabled ?

Joomlacomment 4.0 RC1

Joomla 1.5.15

When I enabled the RSS button in the Security tab of the component I get an error on explorer 7/8

that looks more like a js error, than something connected with the rss button. And why does it show User Agent: Mozilla/4 ? if you are using IE?

This template have nothing special as plugin or component.

My testing:

Explorer 8 on windows xp

1— Clear cache, cookies and all...

2 — Load any page with comments without the rss choice

No complaint, no errors

Same error...


I will leave the rss button for a while for you to test

I reinstall completly Joom comments and try to use an original templates provided with your components. Same problem...


For what reason the error say mozilla, I don’t know ! This is explorer giving that error and I’m not suprised it can’t recognize itself...

You know your page has so much js files. Would you turn all js files off and leave just joomlacomment. Then look in IE. Is there an error? The start turning on the other extensions and see if there is an error.

I am having this same problem and I don't have any other JS files or plugins installed. Any way you could offer some suggestions on how to fix it?

Jason, please disable RSS. The next version of joomlacomment fixes the problem.
