Hi,
i'm using version 3.26.
when i want to manage my comments on the local server there is nog problem but on the live server I get the following message:

Firefox kan het bestand op zoektocht.net/administrator/index.php?op...omment&task=comments niet vinden.

Apparently a server setting is different, do you have any idea which one?

thanks,
Sander

Firefox can't find the file in zoektocht.net/administrator/index.php?op...nt&task=comments.

When I do it locally on my usb drive with exactly the same site I can normally manage my comments

well, can you look for the file in the location specified in the error message?

login with ftp and go to the administrator com_comment. check if the folder and file structure is the same as the one on your localhost.

it's exactly the same.
I've a site backup with joomlapack and installed it both locally and remote with the same backup. So it had to be similar. But i've doublechecked and it is.

yeah, didn't also change anything.
I just checked on my usb server and I can manage my comments fine, but not on the remote server.

There is a 99.9% chance this is because of incorrect permissions. CHMOD all executable PHP files to 644 (if you have PHPSuExec or similar installed, all quality webhosts do so just try it) and also ALL folders to 755. /tmp and /media however may need to be 777 for max compatibility.

Try installing another extension apart from JoomlaComment on your localhost, then use JoomlaPack to transfer to livesite - same thing will happen.

You need to use one of the certain modes in JoomlaPack to restore your backup correctly if copying from a Windows/OSX -> Linux server, but I can't remember which. And there is a bug in my version. I have not used it for a long time but thanks for reminding me to talk to them about it ;)
