i have a small spam problem. not much but it is a joomlacomment-Problem
a Chinese commentwriter (on german-language site)
provider: 136data

Seach-Keywords: ubbcode "powered by !joomlacomment " site:de

i dont know if it is a script that reads the security-image or many Chinese people.

but they zero in on joomlacomment.

I don't know how they do it, but they do it. Right now you can turn on the akismet support and this w.ill mark nearly 99% the malicious comments as spam and they will never get published on your site.
We are also working on implementing recaptcha and this should be the end of the spam forever.

hm recaptcha is cool.
but even recaptcha wouldn't stop low-payed people. (see below)

5 captcha per minute = 300 cap/h
success: 1 / 10.000

1$ = 3000capt
spam for a 10$ product
success: 1 / 10.000
1$ => 10* succ 3000/10.000
1$ => 3$
that would be profitable

nothing.. there is nothing that can be done against human spammers.
maybe language-special things on non-english sites
