Hi there,

Best comment extension out there Good job guys !!

Though i have a small problem : the user notification doesn't work.
And i wonder why is that given that community builder 1.2 could send emails to registered ppl and to admin.

I use joomla 1.5.14
&

Try enabling PHP error reporting and see if the error_log file in www/ or public_html/ gives any details.

I had the exact same thing, some components worked fine with the default PHP sendmail() method but others didn't. I enabled SMTP mode in global Joomla config under email, and not only have all my extensions worked this way but it also sends mail faster (practically instant).

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I found the culprit! It was the settings in the contacts. :woohoo: Components-->Contacts-->Parameters was set to Custom Reply Yes. What actually takes care that another plugin is sending the mail and not joomla. What resulted in my case that nor iJocomment couldn't notify user nor my contact forms worked anymore.
The funny thing is I didn't even remember changing the settings. And even more confusing Community builder notification emails were working ok.

I thought I might be helpful for someone with the same problem. iJocomment uses the same engine the contact forms are using or part of it. So if contact forms don't work joomlacomment notification will also not work.
