My template has the "Increase/Decrease Text Size" button in the upper right hand corner, which seems to be a standard feature on websites these days. I've noticed that when the text size is set at maximum, it throws off the formatting on the comments so that the lines break in odd places.

Worse, I prefer the text size to be set at maximum, so in the back end I set that to be the default, but for some reason only Chrome seems to acknowledge this, so comments always appear messed up when the site is viewed with Chrome. If viewed with Firefox or IE, the comments don't get messed up unless you manually increase the text size with the button in the upper right-hand corner.

Any suggestions on resolving this issue? I would prefer to set text size at maximum and remove the option to decrease text size, and I would like the comments to adjust accordingly.

Thanks for the great extension and the support!

I think it's just a pretty simple CSS issue with our template. The dynamic text-size function is in many Premium templates these days and are getting popular on Blogs, so we really should help with this ASAP. Are you using the modern template in JoomlaComment? And is there a Demo Server of the Premium Joomla Template you are using? If not, share with the name of the template if you can.

Also please give us a link to your website for an example, allowing us to inspect and test with Firebug gets these bugs fixed a lot quicker . If you're running on localhost and that's not possible, share some detailed screenshots with us instead (a before and after would be good) :)

Thanks for your quick reply! I'm using the default, standard JoomlaComment template (not sure what you meant by "modern template" - but that sounds cool whatever it is). For the site I'm currently using RocketTheme's Versatility 4 template.

An example of the formatting issue can be found on this article on my site (the site contains adult themes, so you should be over 18 or whatever):

www.erotisphere.com/Strip-Clubs/Club-Rouge.html

Depending on which browser you're using, you'll probably need to increase the text size using the A+ icon to see what I'm talking about. The comment from AnDroid (that's me) is long enough to demonstrate the problem.

Since you're taking a look at it, any advice you have on improving the general appearance of the comments would be appreciated.

Thank you!

This was interesting. Which template is that? I thought it might have been tables so I was digging around your template and my modified template CSS side-by-side.. yes there are tables that isn't critical, but I thought "Why are there several < / br>'s in the middle of the comment"...

Post max length: The recommended way to limit post size. Anywhere between 500 to 1000 for new sites is a reasonable margin.
Line max length: Always set this to -1 if your template is fluid or overly dynamic in content width (eg switchable font size). This is more of an "over-ride" than anything I suppose, for example incase your Joomla template or eyecandy extensions do fancy tricks with placement and presentation.
Word max length: Don't use -1 on this, it can break the template when super-long words are used (such as hyperlinks). Have a play around - personally I use 50, but 100 is also another good choice (if you want to make sure long links will be ok)

Edited after Daniel's feedback

Setting "Line max length" to -1 seems to have done the trick! I forgot these settings were available. I had it set to 80 for some reason, and that must have been messing everything up. Thanks for your help, Jonus!

I plan to remove the option for max line lenght. and leave the option for word wrap. A value of 100 for a word should be ok.
