Hi,

I've upgraded alpha 3 to beta1.

None of the pages were showing up, here is an error:

!JoomlaComment template not found: default-emotop

I fugured out this is about smilies. I had modern ones.

I've changed smilies to default and it's all working again... So I have a solution, but the upgrade requires additional step.

Don't understand - why smilies? The modern smilies are still in the package - and your message also says that it can not find the template, not the smilies.

I thought "emotop" is related to "emotions" aka smilies.

I had exactly the same problem on my local Windows copy and on remote hosted environment.

Fixed by changing the smiles package...

"default-emotop" is the name of a template. It's the old v3 default template which puts emoticons along the top, hence the 'emotop' name.

I never saw JoComment 3 (i went straight to 4 when I joined here) but I assume some things between 3 and 4 were just renamed.

Is there an upgrade guide Daniel? I thought there was. Well if there is, it should definately mention an instruction to go into Settings and Save Configuration after upgrading, if it doesn't already. So it's not really a bug, but a good FYI :)
