TOPIC: Printing an article without the form

Hello,
I have set comments to a category. (e.g. http://www.jardi22.fr/les-recettes.html ).
When I print an article, the form to write a comment is also printed!
Is there a parameter to avoid that?

No there isn't. We will change that in version 4.0

Well I upgraded to Joomla 1.5, and was able to transfer comments successfully. The layout was better, and Id din't need to customize the "print more" piece again.

But now the print button does not load media=print css files. It appears that joomlacomment is overriding the css print template override. I'm pretty sure this is joomlacomment doing this now. I tried disabling mootools in the template header, but I think it is joomlacomment is loading mootools into the print window anyway. I'm not 100% sure, I'd need your guidance on this. I'm trying to get as much working as possible without mootools because several customers have complained aobut slow load times.

More info, I ran a packet sniffer and found some strange file transfers, so I posted to general Joomla forum:

emeyer we are not using the mootools library. If the template you are using needs it, then it is there, but with most of templates it is not.

I guess I got confused because the instlaler puts a 1.11 version of mootools in components/com_comment/jos_comments/scripts--is it only enabled in particular scenarios?

It imposes a particularly heavy load because Joomla has a different version of mootools now, so there was one poor fellow in Indonesia, and another in East Germany, who were unable to download files because of all the scripts.

If you open the template than you will find a section like this here

If joomla is loading the mootools library then you don't need to include ours (in backend under layout you have the option to include the library)

Suucces! I turned off Ajax checking, disabled joomlatools loading in layout, and installed a new plugin from www.kinesphere.fr to disable core loading of joomla. That stopped mootools loading in the print preview window too. Then I deleted all lighbox, thinbox, etc. The final culprit was Google: it asked me to dad a meta 'verify' directive for site map checking, which somewhow was getting mootools loaded. Also the Google translation plugins installed mootools. Then I added my own scripts for popups which are <1KB.

The only thing I haven't got working is the core rating system. Eventually I'd like to add lightbox and so on back in, as options for registered users.
