TOPIC: I am loosing it, so pissed, user1 and right show

This is making me crazy, i dont know whos fault is it, is it sh404 seo component or you

basically i enabled all comments on my blog posts and the problem is that i have for all my blog articles right block and user 1 block disabled, because i want to have more space on the right side to write article

so that works but when the people click on a comment from latest comment module the user1 and right block appear even if they are disabled and this is killing me, i dunno what to do anymore!!!!!!

why is this happening and also this is causing duplicate content when you add this at the end of url

?comment_id=150&joscclean=1#josc150

so ou have 2 sam posts and this is making me mad!!

why cant you fix this, duplicate content is a big issue, it should not add this at the end of articel url

?comment_id=150&joscclean=1#josc150 is not making duplicate content. This is only telling the component what component to show.

Another thing - I don't believe that a disabled module(unpublished) can appear whatever you do. If it is unpublished, then it is unpublished.

Yeah, I'm not sure I understand the problem exactly.

I use sh404SEF on my site too, and I havn't had any problems with it. I get the "?comment_id=150&joscclean=1#josc150" from email notification though, example - I have an article at sonus-online.net/Commons/Head-Office/Welcome-to-Sonus-Online but the email tells me to go to sonus-online.net/Commons/Head-Office/Wel...&joscclean=1#josc150 but thats fine, if you're wondering if that's good for SEF/SEO it is fine - the ? is just a parameter and does not correspond to duplicate content.

THe main problem is that when i open the article from latest comments the banners in right block and user1 block are not disabled liek they should be, they show up, and this is making me angry!

you should be able to set on which pages to show blocks, like user 1 , left, right block, and comments just ignore everything

Hey garfy. First to be clear, this is neither a bug in joomlacomment or in joomla. This is the way joomla works. Joomla has to know somehow what modules to display and it looks for the itemid.

Let me give you an example with our page.
On the left you see a module - our blog. It has links to the blog section. When I click on it it moves you to the blog page. But!!! If we didn't have a button in the navigation, then the module would leave you at the same page, so you would see the same modules on the right.

You get the point?

Another possiblity is that you have 2 buttons leading to the same page. The module tries to find the itemid, but it finds the first itemid stored in the database, but not the second and that is why you see wrong modules.

but how can i have menu item for each article??
This does not make any sense. The pages where the comment is should open up if you click on the last comment on module block, I can't create menu item for each article?

No garfy, I don't understand. This thread seems to be 5 months old and I somehow lost the essence of the problem.
