I've noticed that most of the comments on my site, after the PHP has rendered, BR tags seem to randomly appear in the comments. This makes comments kind of ugly, and renders smileys unusable. Any idea what's going on?

Here's an example from my site:

They should not be random, but currently there is a bug with this funcition.
Go to backen->joomlacomment->content settings -> security -> text overflow and play with the values.

Thanks for the info. It looked like word length was messing it up, so it set it to -1, as well as line length. Now my comments are actually readable, hooray. :)

Since tables automatically take care of wrapping issues, I don't understand why setting lengths an option. It seems like it just causes problems.

image spam from this sort

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and another 10000 symbols a. Then the table is not going to brake the word and your layout will be broken.

If the word break function were working properly, I would agree.

The problem looks like the word break function is acting as a line break function. If the word break function were breaking words over 50 characters, that would be great, but it's breaking lines that are over 50 characters.
